Tigran Hamasyan is an Armenian-born jazz pianist whose music combines American jazz tradition, European avant-garde, and Armenian folk music. Hamasyan likes many different styles of music if the music is original and interesting. The melodic content is important as well as the timelessness of the music. Tigran Hamasyan last graced Pori Jazz festival in 2014. This summer he’ll be performing alongside bassist Marc Karapetian and drummer Arthur Hnatek.
