Born in Cuba, Harold López-Nussa absorbed the entire rich tradition of Cuban music from classical and folk music to Afro-Cuban jazz at an early age through his musically talented family. His international career began when he won the piano competition at the Montreux Jazz Festival in 2005. He has recorded the album “Timba a la Americana” produced by Michael League (Snarky Puppy) on the Blue Note label. At Pori Jazz Harold López-Nussa will perform alongside with his brother, drummer Ruy Adrian López-Nussa and a Swiss-born harmonica player Grégoire Maret.
