Freezer

Freezer has developed a distinctive sound that creatively exploits the potential of an exceptional line-up. Mikael Myrskog’s keyboards and Max Zenger’s low woodwinds alternate seamlessly between the bass and soloist roles, while Fredator complements the wind infrastructures with his finely tuned drums. The fourth member of the live line-up is the cool Samuli Kivelä on guitar.
With roots in jazz music, Freezer’s music is storytelling, engaging and surprising, where every sound is an opportunity. Composed with imagination by Max Zenger and jazz lizard Fredator, the music combines intensely pedalling swings, the beautiful tones of woodwinds and a colourful swirl of synthesizers. The band’s debut album Icebreaker – preceded by three visually and musically different music videos – is currently nominated for an Emma Award for Jazz Music.
