Ege Zulu, the winner of the 2022 YleX Breakthrough award, aims to spread positive energy with his upbeat music. Drawing inspiration from French music, particularly the “Marseille sound,” the artist blends afropop and hip-hop genres skillfully. As an entertaining performer who loves being on stage, Ege Zulu graced festival stages across Finland in the summer of 2023, earning praise for his live performances and audience engagement. His well-received album “Oi maamme Helsinki” (2022) features an impressive lineup of top names in the genre, including Sexmane, Jare Brand, and Asa. Ege Zulu is also known for tracks like “Valmiina Futaa,” “Fantasiaa,” and several featured appearances. Cafe Pori Jazz is an entry-restricted (18+) and ticketed event starting from 7:00 PM. Tickets are priced at €15. Following the performance, starting from 11:00 PM, there will be DJ-led programming, with tickets priced at €10. Tickets are available only at the gates of the venue.
